Who

Catholic teens age 15 to 18. Enrollment is open to teens from the U.S., Canada, and other countries.

What

These teens experience world-class apologetics training on the biblical and historical foundations of the Catholic Church, as well as on modern ideological and cultural challenges (e.g., atheism, moral relativism), taught by Patrick Madrid and other leading Catholic teachers and apologists. They enjoy the exhilaration of the great outdoors while hiking, whitewater rafting, swimming, and more!

Why

Teenagers can learn their Catholic Faith in the company of peers who likewise want to better know their Faith, more clearly explain their Faith, and more charitably defend their faith.

Where

The camp is held at Camp Kahdalea in the Pisgah National Forest of North Carolina. For details and to register, click here.

What we’re all about

Teens experience world-class discussions of Catholicism and contemporary cultural topics by the country’s leading Catholic apologists and enjoy the exhilaration of the outdoors with hiking, whitewater rafting, swimming, and more!

This camp will bring together teenagers so they can learn their Catholic Faith in the company of peers who likewise want to better know their Faith, more clearly explain their Faith, and more charitably defend their faith.  The experience strengthens them spiritually and intellectually as they prepare to leave home and encounter an antagonistic culture on their own for the first time.

They’ll learn from some of the best apologists in the country and be able to informally mix with them at Mass, around the camp, and perhaps even “out in the wild.” The combination of the expertise of the speakers, the bonding with other youth like themselves, and the camp’s awe-inspiring environment opens up these teens to develop new friendships that last well beyond their week together, and we have even helped several young men and women hear God’s call to religious vocations and the priesthood (when they had not entertained such notions before!).

Camp Life

The Envoy Teen Apologetics Camp is held at Camp Kahdalea, situated seven miles west of Brevard, NC, in the glorious Blue Ridge Mountains, nestled deep within the Pisgah National Forest at an altitude of 2,800 feet. Campers live in single-gender group cabins, eat in the camp dining hall, swim in the lake, have Mass in the hilltop chapel, and enjoy a rustic and tranquil environment where cell-phones just can’t reach!  Camp facilities also include climbing walls, athletic fields, a high-ropes course, archery, a gymnasium, nature trails, and campsites, and much more.  This is the Envoy Institute’s fourth year at this location, and we love it!

Also Available: Adult Apologetics Academy

The Bible exhorts Christians to “always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for the hope that is in you, but do it with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15-16). It also encourages us to “earnestly contend for the Faith” (Jude 1:3).

This is why the Envoy Institute’s Catholic Apologetics Academy was established: To provide thorough, substantive, high-level, and doctrinally orthodox training in apologetics for Catholic adults who desire to live out more effectively those biblical precepts.
